Top 4 for Ajeet in the States

Rising tennis star Ajeet Rai competed in an invitational tournament whilst in the States training at the Bolletteiri Institute and surpassed all expectation reaching the semi finals.

In the Bolletteiri Blog his semi final game against the number one seed was considered the most thrilling match of the day:

'In perhaps the most thrilling match of the day, No. 1 seed Tatsuki Shimamoto of Japan took on Ajeet Rai of New Zealand on the Stadium Court for a three-hour battle. Dozen of onlookers watched the two battle, with Shimamoto eventually prevailing.'

This week Ajeet enters his final week training at the prestigious institute before making the long trip home to resume training back at his home courts in New Plymouth.  It is amazing to see his success when Ajeet's home training ground doesn't even boast any hardcourt or indoor facilities (which is what the world now competes on) and just shows even more the huge commitment and drive that has been required to get him this far.  We will follow his progress with pride.
