John is proud to be one of the founding Directors of Paragon and with a total of 20 years insurance experience he understand his clients needs and can be there to provide insurance solutions should the unexpected happen. His goal at Paragon, a family owned business with fellow Director and wife, Robyn, is to provide peace of mind and build long lasting relationships with clients and their team and for their employee's to always act in the clients best interest.
An ex-farmer, John brings a relaxed approach to the insurance discussion and whilst he works with all sectors of the business and personal market, John’s rural background means he has a great understanding of his rural clients needs and the environment they live and work in. He loves to get out of the office and to visit clients in their home environment so they are comfortable.
John and his wife Robyn enjoy their extended family of five children and two grandchildren and are proud to say that all five have currently returned to live in the Taranaki region... long may it last. They remain connected to their farming roots via their off road adventures in their Yamaha YXZ side by side and are also keen healthy living advocates and both enjoy a variety of sports.
When asked why do we have insurances? Steve believes that love motivates us towards insurance. We love our families and our lives and don’t want to leave a legacy of financial hardship. This caring attitude is what drives Steve to be your insurance advocate. As a passionate surfer, Steve understands that his Taranaki clients choose to be here for lifestyle reasons. This means Steve values the ability to give his clients time… time to relax and discuss their needs either at the office or the client’s home – or out the back of the surf break!
Steve shares his love of the surf and outdoors with his two teenage boys who are still living at home with him and his wife Judith and keeping Steve young at heart.
With 20+ years in offering insurance advice, 16 of which have been as a founding director of Paragon, Steve is focused on building long term relationships with clients who agree that insurance is all about protecting our unique lifestyles.
Robyn has been part of the Paragon team since the day we opened our doors. At the time Robyn was a farm business consultant and Mum to two, but it soon became apparent that Robyn's passion to build Paragon to a successful sustainable business focused on the clients needs always being paramount and great customer service, would mean this would become a fulltime role.
More recently added to these founding principles is the desire to ensure the Paragon team has every opportunity to be the best version of themselves and as such Robyn's passion for the industry and knowledge means she loves to show others what this industry has to offer.
Outside of the office, Robyn's passions are her family and wellbeing for herself and others being a bit of a fitness junkie. As such the recent launch by one of Paragon's suppliers of AIA Vitality is an exciting initiative that means her involvement in this industry is well cemented.
